Cell production mode. When it comes to factories and assembly production, you may have the impression of a long assembly line and a dense workforce.
This is true of traditional mass-produced assembly lines. A production line that assembles printers is laid out in a normal way and requires at least 150 people, but can you imagine the same process with only one tenth or less of the human resources? The process has not changed. Why should we reduce our manpower and how to do it? This is the Cell production method that we will talk about next.
Cell production is cell production. Cell is "cell" in English. The characteristic of a cell is that it is actually a single individual with various simple functions. As is often said, "Sparrows are small, but they have all five organs." So Cell production is a small production line. These production lines have the same process as large and long production lines, but less processes (so each process has relatively more content). They are composed of simple, small and cheap equipment and tools, but they have the same main functions.

Cell production is a new production mode corresponding to buyer's market of many varieties and small batches, which emphasizes more speed and flexibility than traditional production lines.
Cell's advantages:
1. The quantity and type of production are flexible and changeable, which can quickly meet the needs of customers.
Traditional big lines have two insurmountable ills:
1) The production line is relatively long, so the manpower of the configuration is quite large. The corresponding problem is that the waste is large when the customer demand is lower than the equipment production capacity.
As shown in the following figure, the large-line production capacity is 1000 pieces per shift, and the configuration manpower is 100 people. However, if there are only 700 orders in a certain class, this line must still be opened. These 100 people must still come because of the lack of any one. People or work stations can't do it. If it is the monthly salary system, the salary of this day still has to be paid!
Cell production line effectively avoids the waste of human resources. The original production capacity of 1000 lines per shift has been converted into 50 lines per shift (20 lines, 5 manpower per line, total number and production capacity unchanged). When the demand is 1000 lines/shift, 20 lines can be started completely. When the demand is 700 lines/shift, only 14 lines can be opened. The other 6 lines and manpower can support other work. Less manpower and equipment are wasted unsaturated.

As can be seen from the above figure:
1. There is no traditional belt line drive, which is transmitted by hand.
2. The wire body is not linear like a belt line, but is arranged by a separate table into a U shape or a C shape.
3. Devices that are not the same function are placed together, but different devices are placed closely according to the production process requirements of the product.
4, personnel work more content, so the need for personnel with a variety of skills.
5, the space is small, so the use is generally small and slow equipment.
6. Each station and equipment are equipped with lights to cooperate with the production (the equipment will automatically stop when a production cycle is completed, and will automatically alarm when there is a problem, so that employees do not have to focus on automatic equipment, there are Time to do work with added value).
